AGV Pista and AGV PistaGP Helmets

Carbon Fiber PistaGP Shown above

It was a long time coming so we are unsure why the whole world was so shocked when we all saw Valentino Rossi wearing a new Carbon Fiber AGV Pista GP helmet recently. The AGV PistaGP is the Carbon Fiber version of the new AGV Pista, which will be the direct replacement for the AGV GP-Tech. All in, even the CF / Kevlar / Fiberglass AGV Pista is a welcomed leap forward in helmet tech from AGV. The AGV Pista Helmet will be lighter, better fitting and provide 15% more visibility from the eyeport. AGV is also stating that ventilation will be greatly improved over the already cool GP-Tech due to a 193% increase in chimney vent surface area.

Our early opinion is that the new design looks wildly aggressive and a helmet that looks like that, is what you would expect to see on Vale's head.

Stay tuned.

Schuberth S2 Helmet Unveiled

New Schuberth S2 Helmet candid from Dealer Expo this weekend. We finally got to smell it. It smelled excellent. On a more serious note, the Schuberth S2, which has been touted as a a non-modular C3, is much more complete and sporty compared to what we were expecting.

More to come as we get our grubby hands on it.

Schuberth SR1 Helmet Nuggets

Schuberth SR1 Helmet

For the speed racers in all of us... have you seen the new Schuberth SR1 Helmet yet? It's *supposedly* the rival for the Corsair V. The sport bikers at large will have to be the judge of that. Can Schuberth hang with the full-faced elite? We shall see. What's your inital reaction to such claims? When do we get to beat on it stateside?

Todd's (Batman's?) NYC Moto Pilgrimage

Lately our Saturdays at RevZilla's Philadelphia Store have turned into a North East Ducati / BMW / KTM Showcase. It's pretty cool rolling up and seeing all the eye-candy parked out front.

Photo_3_1

This past Saturday was no different. Multistrada and 848EVO all murdered out, on standby as if Batman was shopping with us. Not Batman, but it was Todd, who has great taste in bikes and t-shirts, I might add. (Richard Stark should be proud. Bikes & CH always win.)

Very cool to meet him and his buddy and hear about how they have been Zillans for some time.

Seems like the Saturday rip down from NYC is becoming commonplace for the gotham riding elite. 10am-4pm Saturdays, the moto-speak easy is open. See you next weekend.
